About Us
Our History
G & H Film & Television Services was founded in Northern Ireland by Robert Gyle and Mark Huffam, who recognised the urgent need for higher-quality film and TV facilities on location.
In the 1980s, many wardrobe, make-up, and toilet block vehicles available to productions were of poor quality and offered little back-up service. With years of on-set experience, Robert and Mark decided to raise the standard—building vehicles and facilities finished to an exceptionally high specification and backed by reliable on-location support.
From those early beginnings, G&H quickly earned a reputation for professionalism, dependability, and for providing an environment where cast and crew could work more comfortably and productively.
Our People & Team
From the start, G&H has been built on teamwork and expertise. Alongside Robert and Mark, the founding team included Lisa McIlvenney, Davy McDowell and Alan Crozier. Each brought specialist skills—from engineering and vehicle design to on-set support—ensuring productions received not only vehicles, but service they could rely on.
That same spirit continues today. Our skilled technicians design, build, and maintain every vehicle inhouse, while our drivers and support staff ensure smooth, trouble-free operation on set. At G&H, our people remain the foundation of our success, ensuring every production benefits from professionalism and attention to detail.
Our Original Fleet
The original G&H fleet included costume trucks, crew rest rooms, and dining buses, built to meet the essential needs of film and TV productions. These early vehicles, captured in photographs from our first years, show how the company began with a simple but important goal: providing cast and crew with practical, comfortable facilities on location.
Over time, our fleet has grown and diversified to meet the evolving demands of modern productions. Today, G&H operates a wide range of vehicles, including production offices, camera trucks, star trailers, hair & make-up trailers, dining units, and action vehicles—covering every aspect of film and TV facilities hire in Northern Ireland.
